His skills are diverse include coaching, relationship management and recruiting, service industry marketing, account planning, on-brand behavior, marketing communications, brand management, creative development, copy writing, sales, presentation, creative direction, idea development and strategy.

Greg Bokor

Greg is a 20+ year creative director, art director, sculptor, painter, photographer, assembler and director. His awards are numerous, including: Cannes Festival, Andy’s, One Show, Effie, Billboard, MPA Kelly Awards, Athena, Communication Arts, D&AD, New York Art Directors Club and The Hatch Awards. His passions outside of advertising include an interactive art installation about gun violence called “ERASE” launched at Grand Rapids own ArtPrize. He continues to be involved with this cause and working on other art installations. He is married with three children.

Maggie Tinsley

Creative Director

Mirum Agency, Chicago, IL

Maggie loves tackling the tough problems, but always remembers the importance of having fun. She’s done both as an art director at various agencies, including iCrossing, Draftfcb, and Leo Burnett. She has two young children and started a support group for working moms called The Mom Circle, where she pairs "mom mentors" together to help ease the pain of returning to work after maternity leave.

 

Susan LaPorte

Department Chair and Professor of Graphic Design 

College for Creative Studies, Detroit, MI

 Susan has an MFA in Graphic Design. She started in the Publication Office at the California Institute of Arts and in the Design Department at Walker Art Center. After working professionally, she accepted a full-time teaching position at the Eastern Michigan University which led to her gig at College for Creative Studies. Her work has appeared in Emigre, Typography Now, American Center for Design (ACD) and AIGA Detroit Review.

 

Ryan Calverley

Associate Creative Director

 Channeling his inner Don Draper (extracurricular activities aside), Ryan specializes in creating marketing, branding and digital experiences that move people, through big ideas and award-winning campaigns for a variety of Fortune 100 brands. In addition, he is an avid sports nut who also enjoys a stellar concept, smart copy, a winning strategy and long walks on the beach.
